There is something incredibly special about photographing young baseball athletes in their element—and this recent Giants team session usually held at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach was nothing short of electric. As a Myrtle Beach photographer specializing in portrait photography, I always aim to capture more than just a posed image—I want to tell a story. These kids brought that story to life with their focus, energy, and undeniable love for the game. From powerful stances to confident expressions, every frame felt like a real “big league” moment.
I had such a wonderful time photographing Veronika at Myrtle Beach State Park during a beautiful sunset capturing in a couple images years of dedication towards the sport. She totally impressed me with how strong she was , flexible and balanced while taking these gymnastics pictures.
You know those sessions in which the child is super happy and free spirited, gives the best smiles but will not sit still and those “look here, chin up and say cheese to the camera” pictures are almost nonexistent? ya! I love those sessions!!! Because they are real, true, raw, full of emotion and they truly reflect their inner wild nature… and the best part? When the parents, who are in more control of their child’s emotions than they realize, allow freedom of expression to their child to FEEL and be FREE. That is precisely how this session went and happy children make for a happy aura and beautiful glow around the parents and the entire family. This is how you see their happy soul and the inner connection that we’re actually photographing beyond just pictures…. we’re immortalizing memories :)
